Should we really expect coaching turnover before the Early Signing Day?

Is it smart to start canning guys in the two weeks before ESD? I know it sucks to have the kids commit, then swap coaches but that happens every year right?

Kinda late to build new relationships in two weeks...so its a tough spot to be in.
I could see Peetz being let go bc practically everyone knows thats coming anyhow....
Just not sure how much else gets done until after Dec 15

It's vital to have most if not all of staff in place before early signing day

That's who the kids will work primarily with day to day

We've already had one OL kid say he wants Brad Davis retained

There's going to be disruption with a situation like this, so in some respects it's a lose/lose situation. The problem is that the best coordinators aren't going to sit around and wait. I think they're rushing to hang onto our recruits and get the best coordinators they can, and the decisions will have to be made on a case-by-case basis.

Wouldn't shock me to move existing staff around a little to hang onto recruits for this year and bring in someone new who will slide into a new role later.

Gonna be interesting to watch.

With most of the ND staff remaining...I think we'll see a majority of the LSU staff remain. Which is ideal for recruiting I suppose...but tough for new coordinators.

But lsu has pretty well thought of assistants across the board

yes this helps recruiting, but only the ones that were planning on signing during on ESD. Kids that are waiting...are not in a rush as some would think. It is a short cycle due to the new hire, of course. but stranger things have happened.

I think the defensive staff will stay largely intact. Not as confident in the offensive staff.

No, especially since early signing day is essentially signing day.
