I don't think you people understand Papa's point.

Yes, LSU fans would eventually accept him back, many will shite their pants right off the back with excitment.

But we/he would get backlash from the media. Opposing coaches would bash Saban every chance they get(even more than now) when recruiting.

I think that it would be very embarassing nationally and not worth any of the headaches.

The media would tear Saban and our tema apart if he came back here. I don't want to deal with. Plus I just don't like the guy...

Of course we would. The media already hates him and thinks he's a liar and can't be trusted. Then if he left Bama after ONE YEAR for his 3rd job in 3 years, that would not play out very well. And Rocket makes a good point, though I can't tell if it's sarcastic. He's not going to be able to hire a great staff. He's an arse and it's pretty well known that he's miserable to work with and for. There are plenty of other coaches who can win at LSU. Why not hire one without all the baggage?

Pretty damn retarded, but amazingly it wouldn't surprise me. Especially after reading earlier that Saban does not have a buyout. Boy Bama was stupid if that were true.

Saban had all the power in that negociation. Bama was desperate.

Saban will not come back. I would be surprised if he even got an offer. More than half the fan base would reject him including me.

Half the fan base? So, if he does come back and we're 10-0 going into the Ole Miss game next season, Tiger Stadium will play in front of 46,000 fans?

less retarded than having Miles as their coach. Ar-Kansas, undefeated in regulation, etc...

correction, Nick Saban did not put LSU on the map, he got LSU back on the Map....NS does not equal LSU....

You are right. Saban turned a losing program in to a winning program. Check the trophy case if you won't take my word for it.
Were you a live when LSU won its last SEC Championship prior to Saban?
