True, which is why he being called the 4th or 5th option.
I don't think it's fair to judge a coach based on one stint though. Plenty of coaches have failed and then went on to be very successful.

At southern cal he wasn't the Head coach for MOST of the games
The only reason people think Coach O can be a good head coach at this point is because they upset Stanford. There is no other on the field accomplishments to point to.

He did do it completely different at USC than he did at Ole Miss, with different results

O will have a season interview- he has the best opportunity of all candidates to prove what he can do.
