Again Les miles is over looked for a coaching opening. Les is a great guy but nobody wants that dude to be there coach. I have said in the past all these years other teams have been laughing at us not with us. His jokes were just not funny anymore

He's been tanking the interviews

People who keep posting about and shitting on Les Miles are a really strange group. Get over it and give it up

They're currently laughing at us for hiring Orgeron.

He doesn't want to coach anymore. He gave up after last season and just wants to get his money.

You do realize he was the head coach at LSU from 2005-2016 right?

Maybe some. But the majority is nervous. Saw a ton of out of state family members over the holidays. Many whom follow CFB very, very closely. No other LSU fans but me. A couple pull for SECW teams while the rest are Big10, Big12 fans.
The general consensus- after Orgeron re-signed Aranda, hired Canada and blew out Louisville- was, "oh shite!" From outsiders' perspectives, they see an LSU team that is damned scary and nobody looks forward to future meetings vs. our Tigers.
Most of the laughing about the Orgeron hire is coming from LSU fans and trolls posturing themselves to appear to be LSU fans.

And never were. Les is certainly not the coach he was 5 years ago and was never getting a Norte Dame or Texas type job. But he's not getting more interest now because of his age, not his reputation. I can't think of anyone Les's age save Saban that would be a hot commodity if they entered the market.

just like the majority of the uber-negative posts. this board lax rules allows a constant antiLSU stance and it is perceived by some to be the majority of LSU fans. bull shite.

You must have a really sad, pathetic life if you have to get your rocks off by kicking guys that have been fired.

Because we were told for years by the Pumpers and other SEC fans that we are lucky to have Miles and if LSU fires him, P5 schools would "waiting in line" to hire him. It's funny how those same people are now bitching because we are pointing out how wrong they were about Miles. Even had one SEC fan say that he was sure that Miles turned down numerous jobs this year.

Just to be clear, I don't think any team, even Bama, planned for LSU with 100% confidence. Maybe after the first toss dive, but not before.
Having said that, I'm really hoping O has spent the last few years watching every possible football game, paying attention to every bit of the recruiting process Miles employed, and doing something Miles never did... Learning from his mistakes.
Maybe, just maybe, now is his time.
He has been given all the tools this time around. He has people on staff others would kill for. He has top ten talent. And he has a program that will bend over backwards to get him what he needs if it means winning.
If he bombs out this time, he has no one to blame but himself.
Me, personally, I want him to succeed. Not even for LSU football's sake. Because the guy has paid his dues time and time again. Because he has always worked to fix his mistakes. And because he has the potential to turn LSU into a powerhouse.
If it all falls apart... If Aranda truly doesn't like the idea of headcoaching, we let him and Canada run the show.
