I think he’ll succeed. It’s not “just recruiting” . Not only does he build a great culture (say what you want about Florida but it’s a miracle they didn’t kill each other), but I think his spread offense will translate. People said it wouldn’t work in the SEC, and it did. Him and Freeze are why Saban switched to it. He just needs someone to direct him to a different play choice instead of QB runs on third and short IMO. He’s gotta adapt in that area

Well when you hire a college coach, you are hiring him for his ability to "build a program".
To take all the things that makes Urban one of the greatest college coaches of all time at ramping up and running an elite program, and then throw all of them except for Xs and Os coaching away.....then why would you even hire Urban?

Heard from the sauces about Charlie Strong joining Urban in JAX too.... but I didn’t have the balls to post it. Lol. Could you imagine how wildtigercat would’ve responded to that news?
Anyways, Can’t believe that Charlie Strong would be anymore than some sort of assistant. Not knocking ole Charlie, but if you’re Urban, you can’t walk in day one and hire him as DC. But sauces say he has some sort of role with Jax.
