Steve Sarkisian, a former head coach at Washington and USC who is coordinating the nation's No. 2 scoring offense this season at Alabama, is expected to be named the new head coach at Texas, replacing Tom Herman, multiple sources told Horns247.

I don't see it. 46-35 record. Best season is 9-4 and he was fired for coming to work drunk. But he attached himself to Saban, so we're supposed to believe he's this great head coach.

Texas’ athletic culture is so fricked why Sark of all people? Aside from him being a perennial “hot name” he’s basically Tom Herman 2.0. Very good OC who’s been a part of programs that have the talent to make him look better than he is, and a bunch of toxic arse personality traits to go along with it. Not a good hire IMO

He is a great offensive mind and he was good at Washington. USC was just coming off sanctions when he took over. He was fired for good reason but with more time he may have done alright we don’t know.

Unless Saban is his manager and recruits for him, terrible hire.

I hope he's beat his demons because this job will test him. This is a massive risk that UT is taking

They had zero wins the year before he took over and in two years he had a winning record.
