Considering how it worked out with LSU "missing out" on the top coaching prospects two years in a row, maybe it will work out for them. Orgeron really surprised a lot of people, myself included; who can say Sam Pittman can't make a name for himself in Fayetteville?

If Chad fricking Morris can recruit here, Pittman damn sure can.

Orgerons hire and Pittmans hire aren’t even in the same universe. One has previous hc experience, became the interim and had the team playing better and was left with a full cupboard.
The other is a career position coach with 0 hc experience and no talent left in the tank. I applaud you for trying to spin this shite sandwich into something palatable though.

Could work out and I like the approach of hiring a guy looking to build something...might have opted with someone younger or actual HC experience. But maybe he’s a bridge guy to get you back to respectability and then you make the big hire next go round

It wasn't my top 5 in choices but this is where we are. I only hope we get close to the results LSU got.
