He would do well.
Only downside would be knowing that when Ohio State called he would be gone. (and maybe Notre Dame).

Why not Meyer? He may have baggage, but he's the only realistic surefire potential homerun hire of anyone that's been mentioned. I don't care how many on here dislike him. Absolutely nobody can argue that he'd have us back to 10-12 win seasons in year 1.

There is also a chance that never Happens as Day is 6 years younger. If he wins a NC he maybe there forever

I agree.
It wouldn't stop me from hiring Fickell.
Ryan Day isn't leaving for any job other than the New England Patriots because that is home.
But even then he may not have any NFL aspirations.
