No one honestly believes LSU is a better job than Bama right now. The point is to offer it so Bama has to pay more. Because they will.

I’m hearing he took the $12.5m 8yr $100m deal at LSU and will work in the AD and fundraising after stepping away from coaching.
Supposedly not getting along with the admins at Bama behind the scenes and is ready for a change.
A very small handful of people actively involved in keeping this under wraps until the appropriate time.

$20 million a year is too much for him. $15M a year for 8 years plus $2M for SEC title and another $1M for the national title would probably do it AND would be worth every penny to LSU.
