Riley because of his track record with QBs and recruiting but I’d be more than happy with either, they are one and two on my list at this point.

I like Aranda's style, demeanor, and his defensive mind and planning ability.
I like Riley in his offensive style and he would draw QB's in here. I would prefer more run/pass balance than he does. But his QB development and QB's wanting to come play for him is what I like.
So I'm torn. We have seen that Riley has always had poor defenses and I don't like that. So it his inability to select top DC's and defense position coaches? IDK.
Also we don't know if Aranda has the ability to put together a top offense staff.

Aranda because I like the confidence, drive and focus he and his players exude and play with. Just feel he projects to have longer-term success.
That said, I'd be very happy with Riley too.

Aranda. At least our defense would be STOUT year in and year out.

Aranda...
Riley has had a red carpet to the playoffs since taking over. Texas has been down, A&M being gone. And when he gets to playing the bigger team he always loses.
Baylor is not the power house Oklahoma is, Aranda I feel is the smarter coach. He already has a big win in last week. Love his all business demeanor. Feel our last two coaches have been more known for their personalities on ESPN than coaching and want an under the media radar coach that is all about winning and not camera time.

Riley and its not even a real discussion at this point. His body of work and success speak volumes. Quarterback is the most important position and he is one of the best at getting and developing that talent.
I really like Aranda, but he only has a season and a half of experience.
We have seen what LSU can accomplish with great offense and a servicable defense.

I’d take Riley and if deronte Jones keep what he got going on the next couple games I would turn my back on him without an interview. Dude has flipped a lights switch at DC

Give me Aranda all day. He beat Riley last week with less talent, in only his 2nd year as a head coach. For all the gushing about Riley, all he has done is shite the bed in games that matter.

Aranda and not even close for me.

Don't get me wrong, I think what Aranda has done so far is pretty good. But I dont think giving him the keys to a NASCAR car after 2 laps on the Daytona 500 is sound judgement. I admit I could be wrong, who knows. What I do know is that Riley is the better option based on his body of work as a HC. There are only 2 maybe 3 coaches better than him in college right now.

Riley but I'd be extremely happy if Aranda was HC.
We can recruit defense and field a good D with a competent DC. Daronte has turned the D around with a depleted team. I'd be willing to keep the entire D staff intact for 2022.
A guy that can put together a good O scheme and develop and attract top QB talent is much harder to find. Riley is an immediate infusion of energy into the offense.

Do you recall Nick Saban’s body of work at Michigan State prior to being hired? Aranda reminds me of a young Nick Saban.
