Makes me think Auburn is hiring Art Briles and saying win at all costs.

Insiders have been saying all year he wouldn't be back. He took a huge pay cut. Have to think Gus has someone lined up, and personally I'd be fine with anyone last name Briles.

Anyone have any insight on this move?

I don't really know much about Lashlee other than his stint at Auburn, but this just seems like a strange move.

I was reading an article and the writer seemed to think that Lashlee saved Gus' job this year.

Curious...

Gus said he will now have a chance to run his own offense... pretty telling quote there. Gus runs the offense and OCs probably get fed up with barely getting a chance to prove themselves.

I thought Lashlee did a fine job after taking over play calling. Just hoping Gus won't hire a yes man (which he probably will).

I hope he doesn't give Craig a call. Granted, already been there once. I bet Malzahn goes after briles with him being on the hot seat

To be fair, Malzahn has made much more questionable decisions

I'm confused, didn't lashlee play qb for malzahn in hs or at Arkansas and is close with him?

I'm pretty sure he played QB for Gus at Shiloh, then was a GA under Gus at Ark for a year. Then GA'd for him again at Auburn, left to go to Samford after his GA eligibility was up for a year then followed him to ASU and then Auburn. I'm guessing He's trying to show that he can do it on his own and has HC aspirations.

No, yall take him back.

Dude is clueless on how to effectively coach and develop WR's; strictly a "Recruiter."

I thought Taggart wanted him up at Oregon.
