Remember when we didn't get Pat Sullivan and settled for Dinardo?

After we canned Curly we wanted Pat Sullivan who was coaching TCU, but we didn't want to pay his buyout which was about 500,000 so we got Gerry Dinardo who agreed that he'd pay for his payout at Vandy. That's how badly he wanted to leave Vandy.
It looks like a buyout may not be a problem now since we will have to hire someone who has a cheap buyout because they aren't that good now or is an assistant coach. It should be okay. LSU is an attractive job.

Lord have mercy. Yes. I remember. Lol. And Brett Farve led Southern Miss to getting Curly "Gump" Hallman the job. Two horrible hires.

Man. Y'all have really went off the deep end because they didn't announce a coach today. How hard is it to understand that whoever they're hiring has conference championship games most likely? Most coaches don't want to announce shite like that when they still have a game to play and it's not fair to their players.

I don't think it was his fault. LSU had to take huge budget cuts in the early 90s and LSU didn't have the money and TAF wasn't what it was then as it is now. Half a million was a lot of money back then. Sullivan was later canned at TCU and Dinardo brought back the magic. LOL. Remember when we got so excited over Independence and Peach Bowls--back when the Peach was nothing much. Funny how Dinardo beat Nick and MSU in the Indy Bowl.

Hell, I’m not worried who we hire.. the last 2 morons LSU hired won NC’ships … so whose the next Moron on the list to win LSU’s next championship??
