9458 doubled down on his narrative of "Jimbo has already signed it's him no matter what happens" and he was wrong last year when he said Coach O was the DC replacing Steele

If anyone should be banned it's THAT guy people still somehow think he's closer to a legitimate source than the other two who at least changed their story with new information

You are one gullible motherfricker then. The guy has no more sources than anybody else on this board and he's proven that. He did it to himself dude and I don't believe shite he says and wish he would keep his "inside info" to himself because it does nothing but get the boards hopes up and then crushes them when the truth comes out.

When Jimbo drops 2-3 again next year at FSU everyone will realize it was wise to not drop damn near 100 mil on him.

Not saying O was the right choice.

Just saying Jimbo was NOT at that cost.

No doubt he would have cost a lot. The lack of commitment to the search was appalling.

Yeah, I think that's the biggest miscarriage here.

I mean, best case scenario you believe Joe thoroughly reviewed a bunch of people throughout the season (I think Delly reported there were 10 people on the final list or something like that) and basically went all in on Herman with O as the fallback.

On one hand, I guess he's maybe thinking outside of Herman there's no stellar candidate and O will recruit well and keep the roster strong.

On the other, why not listen to a pitch from others?

The biggest secret to being an insider is to leave every scenario plausibly open so you are never actually wrong.

Especially when you know your fallback plan literally isn't going anywhere. In that interview with Worsham Alleva says he's been "reading resumes" all day long for weeks, says it detracts from his normal reading.

Guess he never read Meat Market because he let Ed Orgeron and a slapdick Baton Rouge sports talk radio guy dupe him into falling for #TheBinder.

Every time im about to get mad I just take a step back and say awww frick it.

I'm not as down on it as most, even if I would have preferred others.

I think we'll have a loaded staff and recruit like gangbusters.

This does ease the pain given O's history as an ace recruiter.

However you look at most of Miles' staffs and classes and you could say the same thing.

Where are you getting "near $100 million on Jimbo"? Alleva offered him $6.8 million for 5 years, which would've put him basically even with Saban and made him the third highest paid coach in the country. Sexton countered wanting 10 years and Alleva walked. Jimbo is locked up at FSU until 2022, so Alleva was going to at least have to surpass that. Alleva didn't even attempt to negotiate with them, and apparently thought Jimbo would just give in and agree to his terms. When LSU hired Saban, Mark Emmert said to pay him what he wants, and look what it did for the program and the school. Jimbo would've stayed at LSU all 10 years and retired at LSU had Alleva had the balls to make the bold move, which LSU could easily afford. Instead, we'all be back looking for a new HC in 3 years.

I think Random does know someone who is a booster. Someone who does have some information, however, I think the information is coming 3rd or 4th hand to Random. So it is not anything but a rumor really that a booster may hope for.

He knows someone with legit sauces. The wing/mathieu/ware suspension news was legit but i mean ray charles could have seen the cam cameron hire coming.

I don't care who you are, a 10 yr. contract is asinine. No one would commit to risk that kind of buy out. It was not a serious negotiation at that point.

Can't believe people still think this guy has any inside info. Someone posted a link to Houston's message board where Random was saying how LSU fans will believe anything I say. Why do think his threads have been getting whacked?

If you tell us aliens are coming to terrorize earth and destroy humanity, but all that happens is several UFOs crash into people's yards, is it fair to discredit everything you said??? No, dumbass, because at least you knew about the aliens.

Lmao. If i said that aliens are coming to terrorize the earth and i am wrong...then i am wrong. How hard is that to understand? If i say something will happen and it doesn't then i am wrong. Pretty fricking simple. Just because i said the word aliens doesn't mean i know/knew shite. I could have made a guess and got lucky or partially right.

quote:

If you think "done deal" means he's signed, then you're just fricking idiot and not worth talking to.

Did the aliens give you this explanation of done deal? When you make a post that says "We Got a Homerun Hire!" Then say "i wanted to tell you sooner but i couldn't!" Then we end up with Orgeron.

I mean if you still believe any of his shite after that you are a fricking fool. Explain to me (the simpleton) how stating we got a homerun hire and how he wanted to tell us means anything other than the deal is done?

You've obviously never sat in negotiations or a business class because they would tell you that nothing is "done" until the paperwork is signed. If you think "done deal" means anything less than the deal is done and final, YOU are fricking moron.

Random may have sources who just got bad info. I have no clue. He is some faceless fricker (like you and me) on this message board. The bottom line is, if you act like you know shite and then say "we made a homerun hire", and it turns out you are 100% wrong people won't believe you going forward. Again don't make a claim the hire has been made when you don't know.
