Herman told LSU he didn't want the Texas gig.
LSU felt they had Herman in the bag.
Thought it would be finalized today.
Herman's agent told LSU he wanted to talk to Texas.
Aleeva told him to kick rocks.
Absolutely positive Kiffin is in play
"There is a strong level of confidence Kiffin will join Coach O."
Don't expect anything on that until after the playoff.
Coach O to make roughly 3.5 million.
Money will go to coordinators and coaches.

I don't have a problem whatsoever if he told Herman not to talk to Texas

Make a decision. We are paying you this amount and this is the offer. If you don't want it, then frick off.

Make a decision.

I watch Shark Tank quite a bit. That's how it works there lol

So lane not coming until after playoffs. That's not a good thing. Need him to commit to coming to lsu for recruiting purposes.

I don't mind them telling Herman to frick off. No reason to get O this soon though.

The main reason, as much as you don't want to hear it, is the recruiting class.

Yeah that's fine, but if the guy calls you to go talk to Texas then you can't just panic but the Ford Pinto parked right outside.

Oh, wonderful.

So we won't know who this "elite" offensive coordinator is going into NSD.

I remember when we kept a different coach to secure a certain recruiting victory. That situation is currently a disaster and it didn't even work for one year. Let's just double down on the recruiting is all that matters mistake.

Doesnt mean it will happen again.

O coached better than Miles after he was fired. We will see where it goes

He's under contract. He is contractually obligated to stay through the last game. It's also the right thing to do.

In a legit Shark Tank scenario it should've gone like this...

Alleva
You lost to a decimated Florida team at home as a 14 pt favorite with the Sugar Bowl on the line.

And for that reason I'M OUT

And if we wait through the fricking playoff and his boy Kiffin doesn't come, what does that do to offensive recruiting? That hire has to come after the Auburn game or move the hell on.

ETA- Coordinators leave before bowl games all the time.

Maybe O will surprise me, but out coaching a burned out and mediocre Miles isn't some huge positive.

That's fine on Herman but why not just interview a few other guys and see how it goes?

I don't understand giving it to O so fast without due diligence
