i didn’t hear that. Tell yourself whatever helps you sleep at night. Tax dollars don’t contribute to LSU Athletics.

Chicken is absolutely right. If you hold out for Kiffin, you may miss out on several other coaches because you will have to wait til Ole Miss is done with the playoffs.

Maybe people like Austin Thomas and Frank Wilson will be doing everything he needs until he does get to LSU

I really hate the thought of throwing stupid money at someone

I’d like for them to want to be here and not have some sort of mercenary approach that just because it was so much money that he couldn’t pass it up

I hope they do . Too much money for him . He needs to stay in Oxford with hot yoga and the chicks . You do realize if we played Van Buren in the second half we would have won that game against Old Miss …

I don’t understand letting one recruiting/transfer cycle deter you from getting the guy you want especially in the portal era. If Kirby Smart decided he was tired of Georgia (that’s his alma mater, just using it as an example) and wanted to come to LSU but wouldn’t come until Georgia was done in the CFP, you wouldn’t take him?

If you decide Kiffin, Sumrall or any playoff coach is your guy and you can strike a deal in advance, it’s worth burning a recruiting/transfer portal cycle if you’re getting the guy you really want.

Or you can hire another Kelly, who was so-so in recruiting, and continue to have take talent deficiencies over a 4-year period even though you never really missed a recruiting/transfer cycle with him.

Would he bail right after playoffs? Rumors would be flying all dec and jan while other schools are making hires you would have the school targeting LK not hiring yet.

IMO the longer we go with not hear that Ole Miss is offering him an extension and making him the highest paid coach in football means there is probably fire to the smoke. Thats how these agents get their guys raises.

Let me ask my buddy. Naw he says he will pay him 12 million base and 1 million per SEC win, 2 million for every playoff win, and another 5 for a natty.
