Not sure it was Jancek who made that call. Watching film from 2022, we did the same thing against FSU in that game, as well as others....before Jancek and with Cain there. Makes me think this was a House issue.

If Baker can do Safeties and LB’s effectively then let him do it and hire a ST coach. Our ST have been shite for 2 years in a row and this “by committee” crap isn’t cutting it. If Kelly wants to win a championship then quit leaving anything to chance or patchwork. Make the hires and be done with it.

Jancek was forced to fill in this year, but it’s been reported that he actually had no clue what he was doing. They absolutely had to bring in Jenkins or we would be operating even more like a team with no DL coach. Hard to believe it could’ve been worse, but it’s true.

It’s common when you play read and react, and we likely won’t going forward.
That said, I don’t think Janacek will be back as an on-field coach. Either he will go back to being an analyst or move on.

Keep Diaco and Jansek at the analyst spot. They are great to have on staff in those roles. They do not need on field roles.
