Possible Candidates

Aside from some of the more obvious ones, here's two that I think would deserve a look should Aranda take the UNLV job:
Clark Lea (Notre Dame):
- Took over as DC this year after Elko went to A&M. Was ND's LB coach before that.
- ND is 13th in points per play this year.
- Young guy with ties to the southeast (played at Vandy and is from Nashville)
Phil Parker (Iowa):
- He consistently has Iowa in the top 20 in the country in defensive statistics and is an excellent DB coach.
- He's been at Iowa for a long time and is from Ohio with no apparent ties to the southeast, but he only makes $600K at Iowa, so we could offer him a significant pay bump.

I never said he was....just throwing out some possible names to consider.

Honestly the more I think about it the more I get comfortable with the thought of giving Raymond a year. If he’s good awesome. If he’s not Muschamp will likely be looking for a job next year.

Clark Lea is Elko's protege - he knows the defense, which is why ND hired him when Elko left
