The U of M probably noticed that since the media has bailed on him and the fan base is so-so, they better up the ante to keep him from flirting with the struggling power 5 schools out there, despite the recent drubbing by Northwestern.

Things like this are the reason coaches' buyouts are absurdly high.

I bet it was an agreed upon extension when he signed

Give him time.

He is going to go the Barry Odom route. Just got to rebuilt it from bottom-up. Will they both be better after their 3rd year? I do see Odom making it and he could too.

Fleck is the ultimate con-man.

There are a lot of frauds coaching college football but he's the biggest. Total media hype.

He’s essentially Butch Jones on steroids and that’s not a good thing

He'll have Minnesota in the Big 10 championship game in the next 3 years. A big-name program will end up grabbing him and striking gold, unless he absolutely loves Minnesota.

Thank merciful God he's off the table for Tennessee. YUGE sigh of relief.

Doesn't surprise me an Arkansas fan wouldn't know a good coach if it slapped them in the face. Fleck is a program builder , just like taggart. But y'all thought Bert was a good fit/coach......how did that work out.

Butch Jones couldn't even hold an oar on Fleck's boat. GTFO here with that

At LSU, our AD hired the worst coach Ole Miss has ever had. Arky’s last two hires were an NFL coach, and a Rose Bowl/B1G champion coach. STFU

I didn't say O was a good hire. I think he was a terrible hire considering the circumstances, but I believe he will keep us around where miles had us but never be what what we want.

Doesn't change the fact that every Arkansas fan told us how Bert was going to rule the day and he was such a great coach. Everyone but arky fans could see it was a terrible fit.

IDK. Maybe. I've read a lot of Minny analysts skewer him over the season.

The Gophers were 9-4 last year and will finish 5-7 this year after Wisky finishes them off. Their Big 10 record will go from 5-4 to 2-7. He better turn it around fast.

I just don't see him eclipsing 9-4 in the Big 10 considering the competition.

And how did Arkansas’ hiring of Bielema work out for them? You STFU.
