That was before the highest-scoring offense in Pitt history put the finishing touches on a 508-point regular season. That was before the 42-point outburst against Penn State, the 43-point explosion in Death Valley, the 56-point destruction of Duke and the 76-point singeing of Syracuse (yes I know, the offense only accounted for 70 of those points).

Pitt’s points-per-game average jumped 58 spots in the national rankings this season; N.C. State’s dropped 46.

Canada is the only offensive coordinator among the five finalists for the Broyles Award, given to the country’s top assistant, and you don’t have to look far to find recent finalists who quickly became head coaches. Guys like Paul Chryst, Gus Malzahn, Tom Herman, Dana Holgorsen and Narduzzi.

It doesn't matter. A section of our fanbase says "Matt Canada no throw ball many times in long ways. He no qualified."

If we want to win next year we should utilize our best offensive weapon - Guice.
Canada's system would make him a Heisman candidate.

Lol. I always laugh at idiotic comments like this. They put up 42 pts per game. Also, had a 82% touchdown rate inside the redzone. Screw the total passing yards per game bullshite or if the offense is balance. He puts up points. He's efficient inside redzone, and he took some clown qb coached him up to 26 passing tds this year.

Agree puts up points scores in the red zone and is balanced at doing it. Also can coach up qbs. Screw all the flashy numbers and stats. If we score alot of points with Arandas defense were gonna win. Why is joe not on a damn plane up there today? Do we have to wait on ponanskys approval? shite were losing our qb recruits screwing around somebody at lsu needs to get this done

They need to hire Canada tomorrow when he's in BR. If O waits until after the bowl games are over and the top guys are no longer available, he's toast.
