Pitt AD Steve Pederson

I just read this guy is the former Nebraska AD that botched the Frank Solich / Bill Callahan episode. Now he's the AD at Pitt and has botched the Haywood deal.
By all accounts, everyone at Pitt was lukewarm at best with the Haywood hire (rightfully so), even before he went and beat up his baby mama. Now Pederson has to fire him two weeks later.
How does this incompetent goof still have an AD job at a major university? wow

Pretty sure he was at Pitt before Nebraska and went back when they got fed up with him.

Steve Pederson is terrible.
He led the move to demo historic Pitt Stadium on campus and replace it with dorms.
Then he hired Bill Callahan at Nebraska who almost destroyed Cornhusker football.
Then he signs Wannstedt to a new contract extension then fires him 7 months later.
Then he hires Mike Haywood and says the following at the press conference:
Why anyone would want this guy to run their athletic program is hard to understand.
