Since our choices are from this group only (only college coaches) I say Napier. Include NFL…then Rhule.

Think is next, not necessarily want: Petersen

Here's what I think is going on-
a) Petersen was contacted after UCLA
b) Once Petersen was in, the mid-season buyout negotiations started
c) In the meantime Petersen's agent is figuring what it takes to get out of Fox contract
d) Most importantly, in the meantime, Petersen is contacting potential staff for availability and price tag
e) Also in the meantime, Woodward is continuing contact with "big fish" coaches... just in case

Come late Nov. Petersen presents Woodward with the staff he wants AND thinks he can get (at what price).

If Woodward likes the staff, and Petersen likes the staff, they come to an agreement and Petersen signs. Staff comes on board, or a large number of them, prior to first signing date with as a near-whole to hit up the recruits. There will be some stragglers who are with bowl/playoff teams, but they would have already been contacted by Petersen and will be name dropped as part of the salvage operation by Petersen and staff in recruiting.

That way it's not part-and-parcel with coaches in the first 3 weeks of Dec. for the first signing day.
