Some positive notes: Staffy was an INT machine his first few years, like borderline Jameis level. He curtailed that some under Lombardi and also made a pro bowl. They went 11-5 and made the playoffs. Im not gonna pretend i know everything about the 14-15 lions but IIRC their personnel in the run game left some to be desired.

This is a message board. Why are you here ?
For entertaining opinions. Sometimes yours are, but the constant negative outlook gets irritating.
Back to the original question....who so you think should be hired?

I honest to God laughed when I saw this. Back when my wife and I were getting married, we had to go through that "retreat" where they teach you all about marriage, including birth control. They had two couples tell us about how the "rhythm method" worked fine and how "all SIX of their children were planned!". Six seems to be the magic Catholic number. FWIW, we decided on other means of BC and we have 2 kids, but there is no correlation at all.

Some people just love having kids

Saints are about 50/50 shotgun vs under center
LSU was 100% shotgun outside of 1 or 2 plays
Payton always has a FB on his roster. They play a lot of 2TE.
The philosophies are pretty different hoss

Who do YOU want hired, Lester? Let’s say you get your wish and Ensminger retired. Who would you hire?
If E is still here who do YOU want sitting next to him?
You’re an expert on everything without giving any real solutions.

Bro, he’s not even hired.
Who really cares what is said about him?
Everything I’ve said is pretty mild. And I’m not even against it, I’m just not sure it’s the best possible fit.
I don’t really have a name for you, but I’d prefer someone from the college game. The trends between pro & college are getting more drastic.

Bunch formations was the only thing I could see a similarity with. LSU ran a lot of hurry up and the Saints flirted with delay of game almost every play.

Its a combination. Your original statement was that nothing that joe brady ran from the saints offense was that important/successful. Again not correct.
Yes the main difference is the Saints go under center and LSU didnt. But that was just PART of the Saint's offense. I am willing bet when LSU was running passing plays out of the Shotgun, it was heavily influenced by what the saints were doing in shotgun. Ya think?

I understand....tone gets lost in type.
I react when an opinion is offered, it is poo pooed, but the poo pooer does not offer another option. Example: you say where you would like to eat dinner, your wife says no but she does not offer another option. I hate that.
Ok....i am stepping out of this thread.

Don’t use the Saints offense from the last few years. They haven’t had enough weapons to run what Payton likes to do. Think about the 2009 offense when Brees had Colston, Devery, Meachum, Moore, Shockey, Pierre and Reggie freaking Bush. That offense could score from anywhere at any moment.

I wanted joe Moorhead.
I’ve mentioned his PGC, Andrew breiner. Has a similar profile to Brady, but honestly I don’t know much past that

That’s not what I said
I said the college nuances were not things the saints did.
I didn’t say nothing he brought with the saints was useless.
I can see that might be how it reads but that’s not what I meant

Monster hire if true. He could be the CIW for Ensminger.
