my jimmies aren't rustled in the slightest- i said i thought the whole idea was funny.
i was just trying to explain the situation from asu's side- well if i had any say. they can hire him if they want, but he'll be gone in a flash and they'll be back to square one like they are right now.

I think it would be fun.
I don't mind living in the same state as BMFP. And if he has a good year or two at stAte, he'd move on anyway. His son is still enrolled at Arkansas.

I can't see ASU doing this...mainly bc they've had what 4 coaches in 4 years?
they would know he would be there one year to rehab his image so the big schools would hire him next year

They are the A-State Stepping Stones

You make the assumption that stAte has some level of pride or dignity.
They don't.

They don't.

1 more year of pretty much guaranteed success and in the spotlight would not be a bad thing. Right now, they're not going to get a really good coach and get him to stay long. However, if good coaches keep building the dynasty and extending their era of supremacy over the hogs, they could become a Boise St

Oh he Mad.
I don't know why Petrino doesn't go back home, get out west where there'll be no attention, no drama, and just get back to doing what he does best; terrorizing young men.
He really needs a PR person, I'll take the job for $50K. Linking his name to any and every job that would be a possible slight to Arkansas is lowering his stock by the bucket load every single day.
Can't get interest from Kentucky, Oh look Auburn once wanted me, got punked from their search committee. Colorado strongly said "Oh hell no". Can't get a look from Cal who hired a poor man's version of BP. Tenner can't give their job away but they still won't call Petrino. Gus Malzahn leaves Astate, oh what would really piss off those Arky boosters, going to Jonesboro and winning with talent already there that can run my system.
He's not looking like he's changed one bit or has grown as a man in the least bit.
His only chance is to lay low, take a year off. Go back to Helena, maybe help Carroll College out where his dad was their legend. He needs to build his name and value back up. He literally has to start at the bottom again, like all people that throw their life away with bad decisions. He's looking for an easy way out, which means he's not learned jack or changed one bit. This is a HUUUGE red flag and an almost impossible sell to admins and any fan base that cared about themselves.

Question is, if it is Petrino, does Bo Wallace transfer back so he can with the Heisman?

He won't change.
I'll guarantee you that in his heart of hearts he thinks Long screwed him. Sure he said what he had to say in public, but he just can't control his actions.
He's done. Untouchable. I expect him to be the OC at Idaho next season, for real.

He's blackballed.
He basically has no better option than going to a school that nobody cares about or has heard of.
Swallowing pride and moving on is not exactly BMFP's strong suit.

I just don't want both BP and Gus recruiting in the state.

When does LA Tech's era of supremacy over LSU end?

no shite, did he in any recruiting class get #1,#2,or #3 in the state of Arkansas?
oh, and that makes me think of another funny over at the Ville, I was trolling around last night and noticed that the same goobers who were claiming that recruiting rankings didn't matter when a person pointed out Petrino's efforts are now pissed that Belemia didn't pull in top classes at Wisky.
LOL they are so stupid.
and transparent
