Disagree. It is obvious that Freeman was going to wait until the season was over, and also take the job he sees as the right fit to promote his career. This won't just be about money.

The fact Peetz is flying out to BR vs zoom interview, is significant

Auburn, sure. But ND was just in the playoff and are closer to where Freeman has spent most of his playing and coaching career. I don’t think they will offer as much money, but money isn’t everything to everyone. I think they may be the bigger threat.

I wouldn’t see losing out to them as a pie in the face because “having a jump” doesn’t mean shite to a candidate who knows his worth. Why wouldn’t he wait and hear from everyone who’s interested? If you want someone who’s in demand, you are on their timetable, not yours.

I don't believe Mangus is in the running for an on-field job. I believe he will be an analyst, if anything.

It's not uncommon for NFL assistants to dip down to college roles. Peetz himself had two runs as an analyst at Alabama between NFL gigs.

I'm not optimistic on Freeman. Texas, Auburn, and Notre Dame are all going after him hard.

This should make you very optimistic on Freeman. We are the clear front runner in that group.

I’d be fine with Peetz and Mangum and seems like Calloway is gonna be on board as well.

If they can land Freeman I’d be very happy with this haul

Seems like multiple people are reporting it's Peetz/OC and Mangas/PGC for the interviews.

Man, that just checked off a lot of emotional boxes for me. I hope we come away with this guy.
