Ron Zook - He is the one to take us to the top of the mountain !

So let it be written...so let it be done !!

Call me crazy, but I've got a feeling he's going to be the one...He's a great recruiter, he's young, and with a good staff behind him could lead the tigers to the promised land !

I wouldn't mind that.

And I'd absolutely love it when we beat UF.

I'll pass.

Great recruiter...too bad he's a horrible game day coach when the pressure's really on.

He needs to stay at Illinois, where he's in 'rebuild ' mode and has absolutely zero pressure.

I too thought that he would be a great candidate. However, he is establishing quite a program at Illinois and I don't see him leaving.

No. He will be like Miles excepct lose 3-4 games a season.

He already failed in the SEC once, why would you want him again?

I disagree..He was never given a proper chance at Florida. Anyone going after Spurrier had absolutely no chance to succeed in the fans eyes. Had they given him a couple more years he could have won a NC.

I'm just saying that with his great recruiting abilities, and with hiring the right assistants,
this could be a great hire for LSU.

P.S - I wouldn't mind having Spurrier here for a few years either !

And two of those five will come from MS teams. Recall, he had trouble beating teams from MS.

Are y'all fricking crazy? He has one decent season and now you want him to coach the Tigers?

Think about what you're posting. Use your brain. It's there for a reason.

OK...Flashback...what was your initial reaction when Nick Saban was announced as LSU's new coach ? Les Miles ?

Mine was WHO ???

I had to get online to find out where the hell they were even coming from.
And look at the records...both Sabans & Miles records were nothing to brag about before coming to LSU. All I'm saying is that this guy has been a head coach in the toughest conference, he can definately recruit well, and he took over a program in shambles a couple of years ago and will probabley be playing in a New Years Day bowl.

Not to bad in my book !!

Saban's record at Michigan State....35–24–1
Mile's record at Oklahoma State... 28-21
Zook's record at Florida.......... 23-14

I don't think you've thought this through. Once you actually think about it, I'm positive you won't want him as our coach.

I think he'll be better suited in the Big Televen. We know he can recruit the heck out of some good players likely grabbing a few from down south. I don't think you have to be as good a gameday coach to win in the Big Televen.
