I feel this. I live in Baton Rouge and even I don’t want to live in Baton Rouge.

He lost all credibility with his recruiting take. That’s just fricking nonsense.

Ha, new deal in already in place but going to wait until after the season to announce it. Dumbest fricking shite ever. Especially when P5 teams like LSU start throwing their weight around.

Another stupid fricking point: LR not interested in the money. Bitch please. Hes fricking human.

We tell people to suck my dick all the time. This guy is basically saying Riley went and sucked dick last night as a joke.

This is the dumbest logic ever. Let me unpack this for you.

Riley to OU boosters: hey guys, I am totally going to let LSU pursue me, ask permission of the University to talk to LSU. Fly down to BR and get the VIP tour. My agent will negotiate ungodly money. I will be offered 12mil per year. Here is the great part: I will give them every reason to believe I am ready to take the offer and they will make the offer. Then, wait for it, I will leak the terms of the deal to national media outlets. Does anyone have any questions?

Why? What do mean why?

Oh I am sorry, I thought it was obvious. For recruiting.

What? What do you mean you don’t get it?

Alright, this will make me look like a god to the world of sports and by virtue all those juicy recruits in Louisiana.

Yes, Bob, I thought of that! He asked if I thought of just recruiting my arse off like Nick Saban, but I told him this was even better. Trust me!

Ok are you with me?!

So this guy is saying it was all a ploy to recruit Louisiana better? Lol ok

ROFL. Oklahoma will never recruit Louisiana to any relevant degree.

I haven't read through this whole thread, but one thing doesn't make sense to me. With all the talk of Riley possibly leaving and the early signing day rapidly approaching, why keep his new deal with Oklahoma secret until after the season?

It would make a lot more sense to announce it now, to assure all the recruits he's staying instead of allowing other schools to make inroads by casting doubts in their minds? Might be tough to get those kids back once another program has their attention.

How long will any kid remember LSU was interested in Riley?
Maybe 2 weeks?

Getting the right coach is worth a not so great recruiting year.

Woodward has been in direct contact with our recruits. If there is one thing Woodward can do, it’s sell. I’m sure he has assured them all to hold out because they will be very happy with the new hire.

You ain’t making 12 mil a year and living in the affluent neighborhoods either.

12 mil/year can make Chernobyl appealing.

CS, you’re full of shite. You don’t know any more than my grandmother. You make a fool of yourself. But, if it makes you feel good spouting this drivel because you know an OU booster then carry on, clown.

The part about recruiting is stupid and doesn't even make sense.

I could definitely see him not wanting to live in south Louisiana though

Good points except we fail to see that the Monster that was built by Saban was killed by the Cookie Monster himself.

Except for the fact that at his level another 5.5 million is not going to change his quality of life or his lifestyle.
Moving to a cesspool run by common thieves, infested with filth, crime and poverty impacts the environment surrounding his wife and children.

This is asinine. The numbers you’re responding to are $5.5M per year. Over 8 years of the contract that’s $44M he’d be leaving on the table in your scenario.

Let that sink in and reconsider if $44M would get his attention. No person is leaving that on the table unless his net worth is in the billions.

I think you might want to read my post again. I was talking about Oklahoma announcing a new contract to benefit Oklahoma recruiting, nothing about Woodward and LSU recruits.
