No knock on this guy and he may turn out to be the next big thing but I'm loving the spin from OSU and Meyer on this hire. Best coaching staff in college football? OK. Not even close. I tried to warn OSU people to not get overexcited about Meyer in regards to coaching and recruiting. It's not all going to be roses as they expect. They're no better a program with Meyer than they were with Tressell. He may have coached at Florida but he isn't bringing those '06-'09 UF teams with him.

I think OSU fans are excited about some offensive innovation of some sort.
I don't love the hire as of now, but he did do some good things with ISU

was this guy ricky stanzi's qb coach?
Stanzi may be the worst QB I've ever seen on a BCS team (2009 wasn't his senior season but he was a giant ball of horrible that year)

ISU's QB looked pretty good this year from what I saw, all things considered.

But seriously, there's nothing wrong with him being a dark horse. UM will be very involved with the offense anyway. Just hope they can still run up the middle when they need to.
