Orgeron is going to finish the year with zero wins against ranked opponents

I don't see how that "resume" is supposed to compensate for his proven failures at Ole Miss. He has not proven that he has the ability to successfully run a program, he has only proven that he can motivate a team that was put together by someone else and have them beat teams they're supposed to beat (with the notable exception of Florida, who we were favored to beat by two touchdowns). That's admirable, for an interim coach, but that should not be enough to earn him a job over the numerous other qualified candidates.

Jimbo Fisher and Tom Herman are not the only coach's with far better resumes. Justin Fuente, Mike Gundy, Larry Fedora, and even P.J. Fleck (and the list hardly ends there) have all shown that they can sustain and improve a football program.


It seems that many on this board are more interested in giving a him a shot, rather than giving LSU its best chance for future success.
