How bad is Miles gonna appear if he cans Lane, but leaves two of his best friends on the staff and BBQ partylist?
Especially when the LBs and DBs looked far more lost than did the DL, albeit which clearly didn't live up to their hype.
LM seems just enough a gambler, to risk his 3.751M paycheck and LSU career on it?
Chavis,etc..any great DC, despite what they may say to Miles to help get the job in terms of "can they work with so-and-so?", would surely prefer a little leeway to hire some of their own defensive staff, whether with them currently, or on other staffs, and open to LSU and/or raises to defect.

Surely Les feels the pressure to get it right.
He knows if he whiffs this time, his HC'ing days are over not only at LSU but at any place (save maybe some HS in Alabama - isn't there where Curley landed?)

just got done reading the chat on tigerbait tonight. Mike S is an idiot but he sure as hell seems convinced Miles is keeping Peveto and Mallory on. i have no words for how frustrating that would be. these two clearly have no idea WTF they're doing. the D wasnt just weak last year, it was hopelessly lost and unprepared. this is not a f***ing clubhouse for you and your buddies to hang out in, with us paying the bill. LSU deserves better then this. we deserve accountability. we pay a great deal for it. I love Miles, but if that comes to pass, that opinion will change in a hurry.
