Only concern with Kiffen

What if he has already made his mind to stay Ole Miss? He could literally wait this out as long as he can to not hurt Ole Miss just to screw us over even more.
Hopefully LSU has its ducks in a row, bc Lane would ABSOLUTELY do something like this.

Lane Kiffin doesn’t control that, Verge Ausberry does. Any AD worth a damn tells him we need a decision by a deadline and be willing to move on to the next target. Just like shopping for a car, you have to be willing to walk away.

Yeah I agree he could def play LSU and cause some real near term damage both with coaching and recruiting against a permanent opponent.

Here's where we run into a problem. I have no faith that Verge can outmaneuver Kiffen. Kiffen will string us along just like Tom Herman and Lincoln Riley did. Verge better be ready to make a move on Brohm, Dillingham, or one of the other targets as soon as KIffen starts playing his game, otherwise we will be stuck with James Franklin or Frank Wilson.

If Ole Miss is still in the hunt then Kiffin isn't going anywhere, no matter who has a deadline. He could agree verbally, but can't sign something behind Ile Misses back. He definitely wouldn't tell his team he is leaving at the end of the year either. The longer they win, the longer his name still lingers and there is nothing anyone here can do about it.

That’s my point. If Dillingham (for example) is the #2, how long will LSU wait until moving on to offering Dilly? Dilly probably won’t wait, so that leaves us waiting for Lane (who still hasn’t made a decision).
