before RR is fired. LM and JH rumors will start soon enough. Anyone think he would leave?

this would be bad timing for us.

Miles will not be asked. The Michigan camp is totally divided right now. They need a hire that will bring the sides together. A Miles hire would leave them with a divided camp.

yep. But with RR getting skullfricked today, I cannot see him staying another year at UM. He's as good as done

this is interesting, but I have heard this from other people as well

if Leslie did go what would he do with Robinson? No way he'd want a guy like that at QB...
Posted on 1/1/11 at 4:01 pm to TigahFan4Life
Only good side is CB is less than a week away. Miles can deny it easily till Friday.

I haven't heard anyone who actually knows anything mention Michigan being interested in Miles. What makes you think he would ever be offered? He wasn't even an actual lead candidate before. He sure won't be now.

Wish Meyer would've waited to step down.
But, I'm not convinced they'll go after Miles

i'm just speaking out of speculation. Everyone knows about Miles and Michigan. I'm just saying RR will be fired soon, and Miles name will be all over the place by the media

Nobody wants Les as a head coach. This has been proven out over the years. We are stuck with him. That said, I pray to Baby Jesus every night that Michigan will fire RR and hire Les.

Sorry to be short, but if you're under the impression UofM boosters weren't salivating at LSU's dismantling of OSU (and ND), you're living in a different dimension.

I think he would, that's his alma mater and his dream coaching job.
But...Gordy made some good points on the radio the other night. They already have to pay off Rich Rod and they might not want to pay to Les's salary level.
He indicated the head coach at San Diego St. is a former Mich. assistant who would go for much less.

Have you talked with Dave Brandon about the future of the head football coaching position at Michigan recently? Explain in great detail

I don't know Brandon personally.
Do you?
I do know UofM Boosters.

If Michigan Fires Rich Rodriguez, Would Fans Prefer Jim Harbaugh or Les Miles?
There will be no doubt, however, that these two former players will be contacted before Brandon decides to look further.
Link #2
If Rodriguez is out, LSU’s Les Miles — who played and coached at Michigan, and was involved in talks with the school before it hired Rodriguez in 2007 — will be all over the radar.

FireRichRod.com -- Personally I’d like to see someone like Les Miles or Jim Harbaugh.
Link #4
Who do UofM fans want as HC? Harbaugh 64%, Miles 23%. No one else is remotely close.
Link #5
Les Miles- Another coach who will be heavily targeted by Michigan, Les Miles is currently the head coach at LSU. Miles also has in the past proven he can go all the way and win the National Championship.
For some reason or another fans at LSU are not happy with Miles which could play in Michigan’s favor if they decide to pursue him. Les is getting at least 10 wins every year in the best conference in collage football and has played at Michigan under Bo and was an assistant coach for UM in 1980.
Les was the target to replace Lloyd Carr 3 years ago, but he decided to stay at LSU.
Will he change his mind a second time around?

Great enough detail?

No. Actually, you should banned for linking Bleacher Report, which is complete amateur bullshite.

most LSU fans do. A few vocal rantards don't, but most are very happy with what Les has done here. Hope he stays.
