By keeping his thinking and decision making so secret, Woodward can always claim whoever he gets was his first choice. Also by firing O so early and having a long, dragged out hiring process, he is pissing everyone off with so many names appearing and disappearing.

I think its clear that Scott is letting his ego and the aura of his reputation drive the boat at this point. No more "contingent" handshake agreements. Just hire a damn coach SW.

Your spot on, that's why he has been so successful. We saw SW navigate failure thru the baseball hire. A week after the hire, we all bought it and he went back to being a genius.
SW has played this perfect, no comment is the best comment. You can always build a story to suit your narrative after the fact. Half the fan base will believe you no matter what. Stay silent, keep your nose in the air like your the smartest cat in the room. Fake it until you make it.

One thing you need to realize, Woodward doesn't give two shits about what you, and all of the other lunatics with unreal expectations think. To suggest it's Woodward's fault for the shite show on this board is delusional.
