Would LSU let lane coach one extra week if it made him happy, or is the troll in full effect?

All of this tells me he’s gone. If he’s focusing on the egg bowl and making a decision Saturday which is the day after the game, what’s he giving himself…24 hours to think hard on it and decide?
The decision has been made to leave, they discussed it, and the play is to do what they can to keep the team focused for the next week and keep their morale up. Then he’ll inform everyone that he’s leaving the next day after the game.

Of course this is speculation, but that sounds like temporary damage control to prepare for him leaving. I’m not sure why time is needed for him to make a decision. If the decision is to remain where he is, make the announcement now. If the decision is LSU or Florida, I can see the AD asking him to wait until after the egg bowl to announce in order for the school to prepare for the change. Just an opinion.

This makes the most sense to me. This allows him to coach the Egg Bowl and finish out regular season. It also allows his son to play in 2 more playoff games before making a statement.
