No his new contract is more than his current contract at Ole Miss (deducted off Ole Miss buyout)
While I certainly don’t think he gets “fired” - at least publicly - even if it technically was a firing Ole Miss wouldn’t owe anything once he starts getting paid elsewhere
If there’s any truth to Ole Miss saying GTFO, I’m sure it will be framed by both parties as a mutual separation given the circumstances
Could be a wild day tomorrow and this week watching what Ole Miss does when it gets reported he has agreed to be the Florida HC

Dude I know at Ole Miss is pretty confident he isn't leaving, based on what Kiffin has told them. Which is what's leading to a lot of this internal frustration, they want him to shite or get off the pot.
He's told them he isn't leaving but they don't trust him entirely because he won't sign the extension.

Here is a question, at one point the Rebs have to ask Lane if he is headed to Baton Rouge. If the answer is yes he'll be cut lose before the playoffs. This is a scenario given on AFR.

I think the stuff leaking out Saturday about Lane to LSU was intentional by our admin…. They got word late this week that Kiffin has agreed with Florida and wanted it out there that we tried with a great offer to temper criticism from LSU fans that we didn’t go all out for Lane
