Formerly of Oregon as the CO-OC and WR coach. Pretty good hire for them and can recruit.

This was per Neal McCready's twitter.

Had wondered if O would have any interest. They worked together at Ole Miss before.

This guy is who discovered Dexter McCluster and had to beg O to take him. O fought like hell against us signing Dex.

VERY good WR coach, so-so OC. I wanted LSU to pick him up somehow. Great hire Ole Miss.

Didn't he leave OM because he hated being in the south?

Lmao. Right. One thing you definitely can't criticize about O is recruiting and evaluation of talent.

A lot of Ole Miss fans will pine about not getting Gunter Brewer but Matt Lubick is a homerun hire and the kind of hire that schools looking to compete in the West make. Lubick is a lights out recruiter and knows how to coach WRs. Ole Miss' other hires have been kind of meh but this one, (and when we hire Tray Scott from UNC for D-line) is a great hire.

Yes it was. It was a ridiculous statement. To suggest the head coach was opposed to signing a player that they signed??? Come on.

And nothing about my reply to him was insulting so quit acting like a prick

I'd rather have Lubick coaching our talented WR's than an ex-Auburn Quarterback who hasn't done much in the way of player development at any place he's coached!..........

Didn't know Jameis won it as a WR..? Considering that's what Craig coaches.. and also Jimbo developed him, not Craig. Craig just recruited him. Nobody has an issue with how he recruits, but he hasn't done anything with the WR's that's noticeable and indicates development in their game.

What is considered "noticeable" about WR play? Is it the coaching or is does some of it fall on the WR when they fail to perform early in the season like Dupre did. He did get better as the season progressed, but was that because of him or the coaching. I guess he sucked early on because of Craig and got better not because of Craig.

Did Chark get better under Craig or did he just finally get a chance?

All of our pass catchers looked better under Ensminger because he ran plays that could get them open instead because the DBs did not always know what routes they were running like under Cam.

Craig helped develop Winston. Jameis and Jimbo have both said so

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with our wideout play. They run the route tree well, are really good at blocking, and get open. We sometimes have a problem with drops, but that's not coaching. That's on players
