To be fair, every successful football coach is probably a narcissist POS
I think the sending the family on a tour of the Gulf South part could've been handled better but other than that, it was just a bad setup IMO
And bonus aside, if he really wanted to frick Ole Miss, he could've just kept all the coaches in Baton Rouge.

I have a contact in the AD that texted me earlier today and said while he does think the staff was sent back partially to try and recruit a few players, he does suspect Kiffin is helping CWJ game plan offensively for Tulane. Obviously not full time but whenever he is able to.
Seems like a stretch and he said he has no evidence of it but it’s just kind of the vibe he’s getting from it all.

I wouldn't be surprised. Ole Miss winning a natty would probably look bad for Kiffin though so I suspect he'd rather them lose in the second or third round.
Can't lose a home game to Tulane though.
It's also a gesture of respect to the players in some manner.
I don't think Lane is some saint or anything, and I wouldn't be shocked if he moves on in a couple of years, but I legitimately think he was just trying to take the next step in his career.

He never told me Lane was staying. He told me a week before the decision “be patient” and I didn’t hear anything until after Lane had left
