Reminds me of the Baylor boards before Mulkey was announced.

No.

Weird you have ZERO national championships in that time frame.

and since the sec announcement 2022 will finish top 5

Aggy believed simply moving to the SEC was going to elevate their recruiting and lead to championships. Ask them how that’s working out.

I find it hilarious that they think they are a good program because they’ve won that shite show of a conference the last 5 years. 90% of the SEC would win the conference. It’s not impressive. Yet they think they are better than a program with 3 national championships in the last 20 years and they haven’t even been to a championship in over 20 years. They are irrelevant.

It's strange to me that you don't know how far your campus is from Dallas.

It would be like me not knowing how far LSU is from Houston, which is unfathomable to me.

No one disputes that Oklahoma is good at recruiting nationally.

The problem is *having* to be good at recruiting nationally to compete. It is much, much easier to compete if you have a local talent base.

How often do programs win titles when they don’t have a local recruiting base?

While I don’t think Riley comes, “look what you’ve done recruiting nationally. Imagine what you could do locking down Louisiana *and* stealing a few elite players nationally” is a very compelling argument if he really wants to win a title. Especially if he’s being made the highest paid coach in football at the same time.

How do you think Oklahoma should handle this situation with the writing on the wall? With more jobs opening up should they go ahead and allow Lincoln to move on so they can get a jump start on their search?

Do they just boomerang back around to Stoops for their next coach?

Maybe Gundy?

Or bob's little brother Mark?

Demonstrably false and the NFL disagrees with you.

Now run along little fellow. We are discussing real football not balletball here.

And not a fricking thing to show for it.

Meanwhile, Les Miles and Ed Orgeron won a national championship each.

Let's just say that it's a lateral move. Money, facilities, freedom in hiring, etc. are all equal.

LSU still holds the edge in recruiting. LA leads the world in producing Div I WRs. Signing the best of the group makes recruiting the best QBs even easier for Riley and that's just one group of players. Just as big of an attraction for DBs who get to practice against the best as an added attraction to being coached by Raymond and that's two groups of players.

Ou can recruit from anywhere, but so can LSu + Louisiana.

Sooo... It's not exactly a "lateral" move.

Speaking of, Riley's best WR from 2019 was from Louisiana.

Riley flies typically for recruiting and Dallas has a lot of elite talent. LSU can’t pay more than 10 mil anyway.

LSU will pay Lincoln Riley 12 million a year and reset the entire market in college coaching.

I am sure Riley would be in the $12 million range if that's what it takes.

He may wind up there anyway, as his agent would do the usual thing and use any offers he may have to force OU to raise Riley's salary as much as it takes to keep him there.
