Full court press is on after the OB according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Trent Baalke (probable new 49ers GM) is in Miami to "visit Bill Parcells". Yeah, gonna go all the way from San Francisco to do something that a phone call would achieve. I'm sure if he just happens to cross paths with Harbaugh it's complete coincidence.

You think Gruden is a bad hire or that it's unlikely to happen?

But in all seriousness... I see Miles heading to Michigan. Just speculation, no insider info. All hate/love for Miles aside, if Michigan offers, I don't see how he would turn down the chance to coach the school he played for. He probably wouldn't get this opportunity again.

Mullen - just signed ext. W/ MS State
Patterson - loves the little pond
Sarkisian - interesting
Gruden - nope
Del Rio - nope
Somehow getting chip Kelly from Oregon would be the only upgrade in my opinion ( out of the relative possibilities.)

Can the word "Gruden" be systematically banned from this site???
Posted on 1/1/11 at 4:01 pm to SJTiger
If we ban Gruden, we need to also ban Leach, and Tubberville.

We'd have to pay some serious coin to get him to leave his alma mater. I have no clue if he wants to leave it. He's revered in Wildcat country. But, he wins and he's an overachiever.

Any Gruden talk is just stupid....
Sark is an intriguing thought...
Harbaugh has not denied interest in NFL. I still believe or hope he goes to Michigan.

Harbaugh to the pros - SF or Carolina
Miles to Michigan
Harbaugh still has another chance to go to Michigan after Miles retires in a few years. He'll go to the pros first and then go to Michigan in 5-7 years when Miles retires.
I wouldn't be surprised if Harbaugh thought about things like that. He's 47. He still has 15-20 more years of coaching and will have other chances at Michigan. Now is his time to go the NFL if he ever wanted to.

you're stupid enough to think that this would be a good thing for LSU.

I don't know the particulars with the new contract, but if there is a buyout, I bet it high in year one. He had a chance to leave, he didn't.
