Raymond, if anyone, was the most shocking departure. Everyone expected him to be retained. You are brain dead if you thought LSU didn’t want him back.

If anything, it seems LSU was complacent with him. They seemed to have the mentality that he wouldn’t go anywhere else. The salaries around him grew while his stayed the same. Just like a complacent relationship, a new, shiny, bubbly coach comes around and made him feel desired.
