Last, I have heard that if we give the job to CEO, Aranda's likely gone. I think something's up there.

What's up is that Aranda is too smart to stay on the Titanic. Because if Coach O is given the job, this sucker is going down fast!!!

If this is true, Orgeron should be automatically ruled out for the job, even if LSU beats the next 3 teams by 40 points each.

(ETA: Posted this before I saw the other 5 people saying the exact same thing on page 2.)

This "sounds" like the most credible report so far.

I have a hard time believing Jimbo and Lsu have a deal. With Sexton being Jimbo's agent, He doesn't play the quiet game. Jimmy's entire strategy is to pit teams against one another by leaking information to driver the price of the candidate up. Texas and LSU have been played by him before. Now, they are keeping their cards close to the vest.

I don't think lsu has made a move yet, I think they have a plan and are waiting on the chips to fall. In three weeks, they will move fast to execute that plan.

This report has three different scenerio's. I think that is how lsu is playing it, once one becomes clear, they will jump. they are not allowing a specific agent to hold the cards and play them.

You would think fans would revolt but you would have a portion of the fan base cheering their arses off because because he cooks his etouffee just like theirs.

You really look dumb saying this. Fisher is about as much as a homerun as it gets.
Ive said for weeks that fisher was my number 1 choice, but he is not a home run. his last 3 classes have been ranked 4, 3, and 2, and hes 10-6 in his last 16 games.

heres how Georgia Tech finished last year

thats not exactly a positive. this year FSU lost to UNC, who couldnt beat UGA, who is genuinely awful.

he has everything at FSU that he would have at LSU, so what we're seeing now is what we'll see later. hes obviously a great HC, but his teams have not played well as of late, for whatever reason.

He (Aranda) was actually my roommate in college for a semester," Herman said in this Cleveland.com story from 2014. "Actually, maybe I just slept on his couch a bunch of weeks in a row and that counted as roommates."

If you're going to proclaim its sooooo overblown, at least get it right.
i have no idea what youre saying. so Aranda slept on Hermans coach for a few weeks in 1998 and...

and whats your point? how is that relevant to 2016, is that supposed to make them lifelong friends?

I don't know how some LSU fans still want Fisher given they could not wait to get rid of him as OC.
I don't know why some people want O considering he failed so miserably in the past.

Why would Aranda not want to stay if Jimbo is hired?

Would you want to stay at a school who just made the d-line coach your boss?

Agreed. Jimbo is proven, Herman not so much.... Herman could get the job in BR or Austin, go 6-6 two years in a row, be a total disaster, and then get fired. And I think the BFF thing is overblown also. Herman spent a few weeks inn Aranda's couch, and they haven't been together since. If they had some sort of special bond, they would've gotten back together by now.

Right, if they were really close friends Aranda would've followed him to Houston which was Herman's only chance to hire anyone in his career. From Lsu... Give me a break.
