Pelini doesn't seem like he would interview very well. The way he chews his gum portrays a guy who is hot headed and isn't cool under pressure.
I'd be shocked if Tom Osborne handed him the reigns of a top 10 tradition rich program like Nebraska.

I really hope Bo goes to Nebraska....
I'm so sick of how he handled the Defensive schemes the last 5-6 games....the 4th & 10 no-blitz was the "epitome" of poor coaching.
See ya, Bo!! To think early on that we all thought you were "the Man"!! Sorry, bad read on my part!

Coaching carousel: Nebraska interviews under way
Posted: November 26, 2007
News on the Nebraska job is heating up.
I have learned the school is interviewing candidates in Atlanta. LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini and Buffalo coach Turner Gill already have been interviewed. Two more candidates are slated to be interviewed, and one is thought to be Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe.
Navy's Paul Johnson and Cincinnati's Brian Kelly don't appear to be on the Nebraska list.
Texas A&M
Texas A&M has called a press conference, where it is expected to announce the hiring of Mike Sherman, the Houston Texas' assistant head coach/offensive coordinator.
Michigan
There might be more credence to the talk of Michigan looking hard at Iowa's Kirk Ferentz.
Michigan president Mary Sue Coleman is familiar with Ferentz since both worked at Iowa together. And while Iowa has struggled in recent seasons, Ferentz still is respected in his field. And, more than anything, he seems to fit the Michigan persona to a T.
Ole Miss
Look for the Mississippi job to attract a lot of attention, as Ed Orgeron left a stocked cupboard.
I expect the school to go after an experienced coach this time around. Look for people like former Auburn coach Terry Bowden and East Carolina coach Skip Holtz to get looks.
A source told me Arkansas' Houston Nutt might be a candidate, if he loses his job in Fayetteville.
And I wouldn't be shocked if the school looks at Rick Neuheisel, the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. I have been told Ole Miss had an interview set up with Neuheisel the last time the job opened before it was called off at the last moment when the Ole Miss brass opted for Orgeron.
If Ole Miss opts to go for a rising star, there are several intriguing options -- Pelini, Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, Kentucky offensive coordinator Joker Phillips, Auburn offensive coordinator Al Borges and Florida State offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher.
Remember this: Considering Ole Miss' offensive struggles, I would expect the school to hire a coach with an offensive approach.
Syracuse
It looks like a 50-50 proposition on whether Greg Robinson will be back at Syracuse. If a change is made, look for the school to focus on UConn coach Randy Edsall, Central Florida coach George O'Leary and Illinois offensive coordinator Mike Locksley.
SMU
The hot names at Southern Methodist are South Florida assistant Dan McCarney and former Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione.
Wyoming
A name to add to the hot seat: Wyoming's Joe Glenn. I have heard enough rumblings to feel Glenn could be in trouble. Since guiding the Pokes to a win over UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl in 2004, Glenn has gone 15-20 in the last three years in Laramie.

The most troubled area of the Tigers football team was without a leader Sunday as defensive coordinator Bo Pelini was in Atlanta talking to Nebraska officials about possibly becoming the head coach there.
The same Baker-Parker and Associates search firm that has worked with several Southeastern Conference coaches helped arrange the meeting between Pelini and Nebraska officials. Newly hired Nebraska interim athletic director Tom Osborne fired coach Bill Callahan on Saturday.
If ever a game plan needed work on between last Saturday and next Saturday, it's the LSU defensive game plan. Pelini may be tied up at a news conference in Lincoln, Neb., in a matter of days or a day, however.
Pelini, 39, has a glittering resume, excluding Friday's surrendering of a near-record 385 rushing yards in a 50-48, triple-overtime loss to Arkansas. He coached in the NFL in his 20s with San Franciso and New England. He was Nebraska's defensive coordinator in 2003 and the interim head coach for a win in the Alamo Bowl. He was also defensive coordinator at Oklahoma before coming to LSU. He has a good chance of getting the job.

Miles just said that Pelini has not flown anywhere.

That doesn't mean he hasn't interviewed ... just wish he'd be actively planning for the game on Saturday.
