That is my personal opinion from experience not based on any facts for this particular search.. I have seen a few of these fall through and I am always pessimistic because there are so many moving parts.

Alleva is an even bigger idiot than I thought. FFS, everyone and their brother knew there was mutual interest between Texas and Herman long before CLM was fired, and knowing that, Alleva should have known Herman was going to try to leverage the LSU offer into a job at Texas. How the frick was he not prepared???

That’s the first I’ve heard that story, thanks for the info. I don’t hate our alleged backup options, but I hope this outcome is better than turned out.
