Man I hope not. This is what did miles in also. I am a O supporter but he has to hire someone that is proven. Ensminger did a good job as interm but we have got to spend some money. I agree with others Coach O cannot interfere in the offense if he wants to be successful.

1. Our offense was pretty damn good under Ensminger
2. Canada has been completely upfront and honest about his head-coaching aspirations. Something tells me he's not just leaving to sit on his couch and collect a check. He's moving up to be a head coach somewhere else.
I'm not that worried.

It isn’t a farce, but what Ensminger accomplished has to be put in context. We had a lot of talent and experience and we dominated several teams that we should have dominated. Great. Miles and Cam weren’t doing that anymore, so he gets a little credit, but in reality, those are table stakes for a big P5 OC job.
I wouldn’t say Ensminger’s game plan was the issue against UF, but the staff did a poor job of adjusting to what was going on (especially the handling of Founette and Guice). He doesn’t get a free pass for that. That’s the job. Figuring out how to win games when the offense isn’t playing well is a huge part of the job.
The Bama game is the real problem. His scheme and gameplen didn’t even challenge them, and there was no Plan B. And that was at home with a better line and Guice at 100%. Canada, despite all his struggles and issues, did far more with less in a tougher spot this season. If you hire Ensminger as OC, you are saying 8-10 wins and not posing any threat to Bama’s defense going forward is good enough as our ceiling.
