I would much rather a nasty temper DC like Bo or Grantham. Guys like that have seen just about everything. I don't care if they are not the sexy recruiters, O & Raymond can get us who we need. I like the current theme of discipline, character and attention to detail. Guys like Pelini and Grantham are "my way or the highway" type cats. I must admit, I feel with both these guys DC is the end of the road for them. Having some consistency and not worrying about being pouched is an advantage.

Just because a guy is experienced doesn’t mean they can’t adapt.

He adapted very well after the Tennessee and Arizona State games in '05, unlike some of our previous DC's.

Guy is a clown on the sidelines, a lazy recruiter and a despicable human being. Ask Husker fans about his demeanor during his tenure.

I’ve heard Hester rave about him and that he motivated not only the defense but the offensive guys as well.

Yea I bet they would hate to return to winning 9-10 games every year.

Bo won at least 9 games per year every year at Nebraska.

Since he left in 2014

2015 6-7
2016 9-4
2017 4-8
2018 4-8
2019 5-7

But Mike Riley and Scott Frost are nice guys.

Nebraska hasn’t done shite since he left and we had top 5 defenses every year he was here.

Pelini's defenses were ranked #3 all three years he was here. In 2008 it fell to #37. When Pelini was at Nebraska as Interim, his defense was #3. The next year after Pelini was let go by Bill Callahan, Nebraska's defense fell to #61. He maybe a crappy HC, but he's an outstanding DC.

I’m a fan. He’ll stay for a long time like Venables, pro level linebacker coach, the best head coach Nebraska has had in 20 years, only 52...yeah, no brainer.

I like Richard, but I think he’ll go back to the pros in 2 seasons tops.
