Why is that? I'm still on the Aranda train, but Riley would be a good hire.

Same. I have some big reservations about Riley, but when he's hired i'm all in.

Riley’s buyout is 22MM. Take 22 and split that over 8 with 12… it isn’t going to be 15MM per for a guy that hasn’t beaten a good defense in his career. I wouldn’t.

You don’t know what the buyout would be with a new contract with LSU

Neither do you. I’d say worst case is remaining money on contract. No different than what Aranda would want in a contract

100 million is becoming the norm….so a 10 year deal, if Riley wins a Natty, makes the playoffs 2 others times, and makes a New Year’s Day 6, it was worth it. How much do you want LSU to pay a coach?

I’m kind of there, too; his playoff record is ugly. However, he’s the guy so it’s time to get on the Lincoln train.

Aranda won’t get a hundred million dollar contract

Guaranteeing that contract 100% is as big a mistake a hiring the current ou coach

Saying that you're an idiot has nothing to do with the first amendment. It's an opinion, not a declaration that you shouldn't speak.

You keep saying this; you must think it makes you seem clever. It does not.

If you have so much stroke with TAF, perhaps you should share your opinion with them.

The contract size is not the issue
Who you give that contract to is the issue
I believe that the current ou coach is highly overrated and will be a disaster at LSU

Go back to talking about how you're going to pull your "7 figure yearly donation" if Riley is hired, that was entertaining.

^ agree here. As a non-democrat like most of the board.

I think I agree that he’s overrated, in terms of getting this high of a contract without ever winning a playoff game. However, I think he can do something here with the defensive players growing on trees like they do in LA.

What about Billy Napier? Would he be a good hire?

Plus he's only 38. He's only going to improve as a coach with more experience.
