Frank Monica is said to also be in the running, along with ULL assistant Tim Rebowe

With all the other coaching changes, this job slipped past my mind, love to see them get a decent coach.

Frank Monica would be an excellent choice, he would have that program turned around in a few years. He has been known to do more with less. Should've been a college head coach long ago.

You don't know Nicholls football very well. The recruits would need to be from a 3rd World Country to win there. AD is nuts and his VP is worse. Home boys can't pass and they have no tutors. No budget for recruiting. Must recruit out of their empty pockets or on the phone. All the supporters have quit with the last two fires. Just a mess. No leadership from the top.

Rebowe is at ULL and has been at Nicholls under Daye. High School coach and had trouble picking talent for the higher level. Nice guy. Family is local.

Monica would be an excellent choice. He and the staff at St. Charles have done an excellent job year in and year out. He's a great motivator who the kids respect and admire.

Not to mention, they changed their mascot from a confederate rebel wanabe looking thing to something that looks like a German or Russian calvary officer about to cut someone's head off:

Neither one can be the best for recruiting.
