No one wants the Auburn job with Saban at Bama
Yep, that's it.
Are the majority of LSU fans affectionate towards Saban's time there...or is he despised for leaving?

Glad he came and did what he did here. He's gone and we have Les now. That's about as much as I think about it.

Why would Johnson leave GT for Auburn? He can win an average of 7-9 games per year at Tech, and still have job security.
I know you're trying to be nice and all. But if 7-9 wins a year was sufficient by itself, Johnson wouldn't be at GT because his fired predecessor did that.

I heard that Lowder said 'no' to Gill. He does not like him as a HC.
That is a rumor, and most likely a lie. If you had a link, which you don't and won't, because its almost certainly not true, then maybe I could take you seriously.

Just like when Tulane in baseball beat LSU in 2001 in the super regional. Lots of people said that Tulane was the program of the future in LA.
- Since 2005, Tulane is 5-3 against LSU!
- Tulane's baseball program is clearly a perennial Top 25 contender stocked with major league prospects and players...
...and led by 2009 USA National Team Head Coach Rick Jones.
- At worst, these teams are evenly matched year after year...which is great for Louisiana sports.

We all loved Saban when he was here even if he was an arse (after all he did load us up and get us a piece of crystal), and most weren't too upset when he went to the NFL (as we figured he'd earned it).
...But when he went to Bama, he became the enemy. And when someone turns against you, it stirs up some very negative emotions. Some are a little more tolerant because of his stop over in the NFL, but not most. We respect him as a coach, but we want to kick his arse on the football field at every opportunity.
Now imagine if the GT coach out of the blue took a job at UGA...

What about the Jimmy Sexton story? He did not leak any of the stories about Nutt and the 5 mil to Tub, so his guy got the job.

This question shows how much outsiders do not get why Saban is viewed the way he is.
Most fans appreciate what Saban did. Most don't hold a grudge for him leaving. However, most do hold a grudge for him returning to Alabama. What are fans supposed to do? Put aside the rivalry and make Alabama their #2 school? Please.
The minute Saban were to take a job outside of the SEC, a large portion of the disgust for the guy would go away.
