I heard the same thing a week ago from somebody in the "know". A very well connected businessman is pushing for this and has Jeff Landry's ear.

But several people that wrote checks today own Jeff Landry. He wont be able to do anything overtly stupid and if they think the McNeese people are an embarrassment it wont happen.

Rousse is a good President and is on the short list for LSU.
Schroyer is a good AD for a McNeese level program but he is not major SEC material. More of a slick used car salesman and good at keeping McNeese’s brand out front. Not what LSU needs

The McNeese president is a graduate of South Lafourche High School, the same high school that Coach “O” graduated from. South Lafourche blood runs deep. Because of that, don’t count coach “O” out on the possibility that he might come back in some capacity if the McNeese president becomes president of LSU.

I’ll say this for Schroyer understanding it’s far secondary to the football hire. He’d do anything within his power to bring Will Wade back to LSU. Anything. And Wade loves Schroyer.

Nunez is generally thought of as one of the biggest jackasses that has ever been employed by lsu. I don’t think there’s any chance he’s the new AD.

Schroyer at LSU would not be the right move. He's got some baggage and has exactly zero experience in a major athletic administration. Rousse would likely do a good job for LSU.
