Lane is no Jimbo. Players don't respect Jimbo and it was that way at FSU too. Lane actually has proven he can evaluate talent to fit his system and not just rely on blue chip talent.

Nothing with salary? What’s the longest contract by law you can offer somebody in Mississippi versus Alabama. Huge difference. He isn’t getting a 10 year contract at Ole Miss. You can thank the slapdick Aggies for resetting the market.

Yeah bro that’s it. We had such a hard time beating Freeze. A lot of stuff that went on with him at Ole Miss wasn’t publicized, the inner circle of the SEC won’t let it happen nor will an AD touch him.

I tend to believe that. Franklin's name was coming up for jobs like USC as early as 2018.
I think he wants out of Penn State, but there just aren't many other big jobs like that he can jump to.

It sort of makes sense. Franklin can get a fresh start, like Kelly did.

Right. Franklin is kind of creeping into Les Miles territory where he's still fielding some talented teams, but they lose games they shouldn't and they can't get by the wall at the top of the division (Ohio State has won the last 6 matchups).
If he gets an opportunity to reset the clock on himself before Penn State fans get really restless, I think he'd do it.

I know Missouri is irrelevant in most sports, but try to understand….this will be the least talented team Kelly has at LSU and he beat Kiffin by 3 touchdowns when they were ranked #7 and undefeated.
So..smart says I wouldn’t anticipate Kiffin beating Kelly very often.
