Agreed to a restructured contract, no terms yet.

Bad year for them to be searching.

What a mess. This will be the fourth-straight year that Nebraska finishes no better than 5th in the B1G West.

I wouldn't fire him this year unless you were sure there was a guy out there you love that you could get.

They really were so close in I think all of their losses. How has recruiting been?

Frost can certainly recruit - constantly getting top 25 classes IIRC

While their record is bad, they have played lots of good teams close. I'm sure their fans are tired of not going to bowls though.

Nebraska is now a job to get to the next job. Frost is one of the few that sees it as a destination, so might as well give him one more year.

Martinez will finally be gone so he can start someone better. I think he give him a few games next season and if the new starter doesn't cut it (winning games) they let him go

They are probably the best 3-7 team in the nation. As someone mentioned earlier, they have lost a lot of close games.

Can’t remember the last time I remember a coach accepting a pay cut to stay in college football

With covid he should have another year. Everything says he is a junior.

I was hoping he'd be gone as well, but I doubt it.

Frost just needs to make a switch.

Nebraska plays tough. Bad record but he deserves another season to see if they can finally flip the script in these close games.

I actually like this.

That said, they have to hit the portal hard. Start at QB.

Gundy took a $1M hit from Okie State last year. I think he got it back with this latest perpetual contract though.

This isn’t new, though. They hang tough against good programs, but have puzzling losses to ‘inferior’ programs during his tenure, too. Nebraska fans are done with the “moral victories” — there have been too many. At some point, you need to get in the win column.

Wait. Is this "the Trev Alberts"? Former ESPN college football co-host? LOL oh man.

I think it’s a good move. NU needs to realize where the program is now and give Frost more time to see what he can do

The 80-90s Cornhuskers are not coming back
